White Point is home to the Nature Education Center, which opened in May 2010 and acts as an educational resource for families, students, and community groups throughout Los Angeles. It offers a number of educational events throughout the year. The following are just a few.

Amazing Honeybees. On August 26, National Honeybee Day, White Point will welcome Nicole Palladino, the founder of Beequilibrium, to give a presentation on the role of bees in the food chain.

Caulerpa Conquest – A Biological Eradication Success Story. On September 23, the center will give visitors the opportunity to hear from author Eric Noel Munoz about his book outlining a successful campaign to fight invasive seaweed that is released from aquariums. Munoz will sign books after the presentation.

Gardening with Local Plants. On October 28, White Point will welcome guests to learn about how to incorporate native plants into their home gardens.
